  I'm guilty of loving pretentious coffee shops, but I'm not a fan of aloof staff when i'm paying above average money for my coffee. I've been here a handful of times and continue to leave with the same thought. Such a nice atmosphere dampened by not so friendly staff!

  Would be a 5 IF they were ready to serve all items off the breakfast menu, during morning operation hours... when prepared, the waffles are awesome! 3 out of 4 times there is a considerable wait due to them not being prepared.

  I visited The Gentry for the first time in February this year and found their service mediocre and their offerings stingy. I paid $4.05 for a single mug of peppermint tea - more than I've ever paid for a tea anywhere else, including the resort town where I live. It didn't even come with a pot/top-up. Because I was on the road doing client visits for business I ended up ordering lunch before hitting the road again. The only thing on the menu that I could eat due to my dietary restrictions was a salad. I ordered it with chicken for an extra $2.50 thinking that would make a perfect lunch for me. My order + tax and tip came to $15.65. The salad was small and came with little flakes of shredded chicken, barely an ounce's worth, I'm guessing. I left the place hungry.

  This place is beautifully decorated and serves up a delicious espresso☕It was a bit more expensive for our bill however, the service was fantastic. Sean is great with customer service, we'll be back for sure.

  Very unprofessional!
  I tried calling the manger to speak to her regarding a matter. When I phoned a young man answered the phone and said she is unavailable. I said I would call back. When I did, same thing happend and she was busy. On my third attempt calling back I had asked to speak to her, but apparently she “went to Hawaii for two weeks”... I told the man I would approximate if she could call me back when she returns. Left my phone number. Never heard back from them again.
  At this point I won’t be returning at all, nor would I recommend this place. If a manager isn’t willing to face and speak to her customers, why would I give her my business.
